general rules

to start off, we would like to discuss what we are expecting from this gpsl. we are not a place that just willingly accepts anyone and everyone that applies. we have a good understanding of what we are looking for and we're hoping to find members who have that same sort of mindset. we know that we have already laid out the ground work for each of the family members coming in, but we are also looking for the following: character development, an effort to be creative, friendliness and people who are invested in the gpsl beyond their close lines. this is a family of a power man and his wife, we know that there can be close knit groups wherever one goes; but not here. we want to put an emphasis on organic lines, not limiting you to what you want or can find. we are hoping for people to build off of what they already have and continue developing their characters as they go along. if you are the type that enjoys family drama, classic old blood problems and knowing that in the future your character will cause a series of misfortunes for the rest of their family: then this is the place for you. we plan on having quite a bit going on here. we would like to avoid rabb.it, tiny chats and games as much as possible. since most of those who will be apart of this gpsl will be in their early 30's to late 50's. we will be holding bi-weekly family events, in hopes that people will connect and continue developing their characters. though this is a place solely set around the family members, we encourage you to find their spouses in hopes to cause a little bit chaotic fun in the mixture. we have no pre-approved plots, but encourage you to ask questions and understand that we want this place to survive just as much as you do! we will be holding monthly ama's and daily qotd's! but these will only start to take affect when this place expands and becomes more involved. last but never the least: we do not condone any forms of cyber-bullying in ooc. if this occurs to you, please do not hesitate to tell us and we will take care of it. we understand that there are people here who do such things and it is not okay.

joining predecessors

the first rule is that you must have an ic journal to join. no numbers, underscores or excessive extra letters. keep in mind that we know the last name of the family is rather straightforward, there are many first names out there that are not used or would work with the family's surname. if your character is female and is married, you have the choice to either keep the beaumont family name or create a last name that works for you. please have at least one icon uploaded! we do look at examples before we add you! we'd like to see at least 2 scenes and 2 narratives/journal entries. you must have at least 2 connections with other members of the gpsl. you need to have an f/o post and an ooc post stickied to the top of your journal. please make sure that your ooc is at least public. backdate your entries! if you do not know how than we will explain. you must have the basics up in your journal! we are requiring bios or a detailed list of facts, but nothing too long or detailed. we would also like to see at least the following: full name, occupation, age, and etc. if we don't think we see what we need to when you apply, we'll let you know.
